Curriculum
Each term combines a review of key concepts with new material and activities. This allows new students and complete beginners to join at the beginning of any term, while returning students continue to build on what they have already learned.
Because the class is taught through French immersion, children who already have some French but are not yet ready for Grands 2 can also benefit greatly from this level. They will strengthen their ability to form complete sentences, communicate more naturally, and gain confidence through regular exposure to spoken French.
Students will:
- Review essential vocabulary and basic sentences, including introductions, numbers, and colors.
- Learn useful sentences for everyday situations, with topics adapted to the level and interests of the group.
- Learn how to ask and answer simple questions.
- Talk about likes and dislikes, hobbies, activities, and other people's interests.
- Learn to describe daily routines and practice practical situations such as inviting a friend, buying something, or asking for directions.
-Develop speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills through role-playing, games, activities, and age-appropriate exercises.
Core vocabulary, including colors, numbers, body parts, clothing, animals, sports, and family, is reviewed regularly throughout the program to reinforce learning and help children retain what they have learned.
Each class is adapted to the students' level, needs, and progress, allowing children to develop their French skills at an appropriate pace.
