Adults classes are held at:
1629 K Str., Suite 300, Washington DC 20006: we use several offices and a conference room (Schedule K street).
Or 5749 Governors Pond Circle, Alexandria, VA 22310: our teaching room is located in a townhouse. (Schedule Alexandria)

We choose quality over quantity: our classes have between 3 and 6 participants to make sure every one gets a lot of attention and progress better and faster.

You struggle to understand authentic dialogs? Itís hard for you to recognize the spoken words? This oral comprehension workshop will help you increase your skills!
- For good beginners (A1) who want to improve their oral comprehension skills and better as well their conversation (you already have done Survival 1 and 2, or Blue 1 and 2).
- We will listen to authentic conversations and decrypt the information together to give you a metholdology of oral understanding. You will get used to pick up essential information, understand better the different words in the flow of the sentence.

Curriculum:
The ability to express what's happening in the world can really boost your confidence while traveling or for work.
The learning activities are adapted to the intermediate level (B1) or above and are designed to improve reading, speaking and listening skills.
We will work with newspapers such as Le Monde, international news (RFI, Le Monde Diplomatique, Jeune Afrique, TV5 monde), French TV News (TF1, Canal +) to explore how French-speaking media portray current events worldwide.

In this course you will:
- Improve your listening comprehension
- Give your opinion and interact on a theme-based sequence
- Learn about Francophone culture on current events
- Use a news report to improve key grammatical structures
- Learn new words and improve your writing skills

Learn more essential skills to be able to survive in France:
- Be able to talk about your likes and dislikes, your profession
- Describe people
- be able to reserve a taxi or change a table reservation
- Be able to go to the doctor
- Understand time and hours of operation
- Set up an appointment, accept or refuse an invitation
- Less or more according to the group dynamic

(Compared to the Blue 2, this class has more conversation)

You will have reached the level A1-3 after this class. However, to get the best results, you will need to practice at home, learn vocabulary and do your homework.

French Elementary (A2 ) Alexandria

Oral understanding (A2/B1)- Wed 6:00-7:40pm- $105- Aug 23rd to Sept 6th - Alex

You struggle to understand authentic dialogs? Itís hard for you to recognize the spoken words? This oral comprehension workshop will help you increase your skills!
- For good elementary (A2+) and low intermediate (B1-) who want to improve their oral comprehension skills and better as well their conversation.

- We will listen to authentic conversations and decrypt the information together to give you a metholdology of oral understanding. You will get used to pick up essential information, understand better the different words in the flow of the sentence.

Wednesdays from 6:00 to 7:40 pm.
Starts August 23rd and ends Sept 6th (5 hours, class over 3 weeks).

French Intermediate (A2/B1) Alexandria

Conversation and Grammar B1- Tuesday 6:30-8pm- $240- Sept 13th to Oct 31st - Alex

This class is for Intermediate students (B1) who want to improve their conversation skills and strenghthen at the same time some grammar points. We offer a new curriculum every quarter and we adapt it to the needs of the participants, so the class can be followed on a regular basis.

Starts on Tuesday Sept 13th and ends October 31st.

Each week we will talk about a new topic: news, travel, society, art, food etc..
After a short check up of the participants, we will work on main difficulties of the group, push every one to talk to better the fluidity of oral skills, but also make sure to work on some structures and explain/ train some grammar points according to the participants' needs. For example: bien ou bon? Imparfait ou passé composé? Pendant depuis ou pour? Indicatif ou subjonctif?
Actual topics will be discussed through articles or videos.
